I just ordered a new aluminum engine case, bearings and other odds n' ends needed to complete the engine. I had originally planned to build the motor on a well used factory magnesium case. However, the crank bore was on it's third cut, and crappy work from the machine shop raised big doubts I could build a reliable engine. Now, If all goes well, I should be able to build a hammer-reliable motor that will easily outlast the car. The motor will be a 1776cc for now, but the case is pre-clearanced for a stoker crank, and should be durable enough to build a 2110 or bigger in the futue.
