Dis-assembled 2 engines this weekend; the Thing engine, and my old 1835. The Thing motor had very few usable parts. The case is probably OK, but it's so covered in baked on grime, that I decided not to use it. I had a AS41 case that's been living in my garage for a few years that's in good shape. Hopefully this week, I'll take it down to the machine shop for an align-bore, open it up for 90.5 cylinders, and full flow oiling. I'm going to build a low RPM torquer with the following:
* CB 044 heads w/ 40x35.5 valves
* 69mm Counterweighted crank
* 90.5mm cylinders (for 1776cc)
* Camshaft (still researching the best one)
* Chromolly pushrods (already have them)
* Weber 34mm ICT carburetors (already have them)
* Stock weight flywheel
* Doghouse oil cooler
* Alternator (already have one)
* 1-1/2" headers
